  • HOW TO SURVIVE A LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIP?

Being in a long distance relationship isn't realy easy. It requires trust, commitment and constant communication. Experts say it is still possible to be happy even being in LDR. But it will be difficult and requires a strong commitment between you and your partner. So how can you survive LDR? here are some tips from JANE ELEDA - MAHIA...

    1) TRUST ONE ANOTHER
Trust is the most important thing that a couple should remember if they want to maintain a strong and harmonious relationship. Without trust, the relationship may be endangered. By accepting the challenge of LDR, you also accept the fact that you will have to trust and believe that your partner will not be seeing someone else.

    2) COMMUNICATE
You need to communicate every single day to strengthen your bond. Communication is very vital in any relationship because it is where you can get reassurance with your love for one another. If you want your bond to stay strong and loving, you have to hear from one another very often.

    3) ESTABLISH THE RELATIONSHIP RULES AND PARAMETERS
Each of you should say what you both want in a relationship in order to avoid future misunderstandings and mistakes. You should not be afraid to tell your partner what you want from him/her. If the two of you decide to love one another until the end, then it's clear that neither of you will be dating anyone else.

    4) EXPRESS YOUR FEELINGS
Don't be afraid to express your feelings. With the high technology nowadays, you can call, text, fax, or email your partner to say you love him/her. You can also send cards. Reassure your loved one of your lasting love and respect and that you won't do anything that would hurt him/her.

    5) KEEP EACH OTHER INFORMED
According to experts, keeping each other informed of what is happening in your life is a great way to keep your relationship alive and healthy.

    6) SEND CARE PACKAGES
Although you cannot physically express your love to your partner, you can still show your being romantic by sending cards or videos of yourself with loving messages. reminding your loved one how much you think of him/her will make him/her miss you more.

    7) AVOID ASSUMPTIONS
Making assumptions and being jealous could ruin a relationship. If you want your bond to stay strong, you must trust your partner.

    8) SURPRISE
Giving surprises is a spice in a relationship. You can send your loved one a gift or any of his/her favorites to make him/her happy.

With the right amount of effort, trust and interest, LDR can survive any obstacle. One thing more, if you make God the center of your relationship, nothing would go wrong.

Having read, copy and pasted the article above...it hits me that, it's just a reminder for those who are in LDR...nothing special or extra-ordinary about it...it takes just a common sense for one to realize that the 8 tips are actually/really needed for LDR to survive.

I have never been or expereinced a serious LDR...and am not for one...if ever it would be...maybe...AN OPEN LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIP would work for me.

  • Kinnear could move for Denilson and Riise in January

Newcastle manager Joe Kinnear has made former Liverpool defender John Arne Riise and Arsenal midfielder Denilson his top two transfer targets for January.

Newcastle have taken a hit in midfield with Joey Barton being ruled out for two months with a knee injury, and as has been mentioned already, left back is one of the squad’s biggest needs.

Denilson has been a regular for Arsenal this season, scoring two goals and chipping in with a few assists. Midfield is a position where Arsene Wenger may not be interested in allowing any key contributors to leave, with quality depth and injuries a concern, so Kinnear may not be successful with a move for the Brazilian’s U-20 captain.

However, he could be able to solve his current left back issues with Riise, who left Liverpool for Roma in the summer but could quickly be on his way back to England if the offer is right. Riise had a lot of success in his time at Anfield, and while he has played a regular part for Roma until recently, a return to the Premier League could be an exciting prospect.
